I didn't understand the rules: I didn't partecipate till now, may I guess?

You can, but if you get it wrong, you lose a question. You have plenty though, so go for it ...

That's actually a slightly weighted question. I'll say female.

That's five, by the way!

The Ladykillers (1955)

The Coen Brothers did a terrible (in my opinion) remake in 2004

Edit: spelling

Correct!  :yahoo:

Your board, Sanuye. Asking what awards was a good one, instantly revealing it was British. Then when Kathy asked if it had been remade, that was the beginning of the end. I thought you'd got it then, Kathy.

I think The Ladykillers is one of the most perfectly written screenplays. Western narrative follows four stages and this is the only film I can think of where so much happens, but in the resolution, there has only been one perceptible change. Just brilliant.

EDIT: Don't forget the mystery actor thread! If any of you can guess that person with what's there now, I will be truly speechless ...

Sanuye

I took off my tin foil cap, so you can read my mind

Free hint: very very funny

Kathy

What awards, if any, did this film win?

(Hey it helped before! ;D)

What decade?
The last one

Edit: or should I say: "the current one"?
2000s anyway

Najemikon

I'm going to assume from your original hint it's a comedy. But from what country?

IMDb says USA, Ausralia, Germany. I'm not good with CoO, but I'd say USA

Najemikon

Interesting mix ... no help at all!

Ok, comedy, 2000s. Is it a straight, played for laughs, silly/slapstick comedy, or more of a realistic comedy drama?

totally silly  ;D but not stupid (not the "date movie" kind)
